Ms. Debra Perry

Senior Specialist in Vocational Rehabilitation, International Labor Organization

Ms. Debra Perry

She works out of the ILO’s regional office in Bangkok, Thailand and provides technical and policy assistance to governments and employers’ and workers’ organizations, nongovernmental agencies and disabled persons’ organizations on matters related to vocational training, vocational rehabilitation, employment and self-employment of disabled persons. She advocates for the inclusion, mainstreaming and equal opportunity and equal treatment of disabled persons, as per the ILO mandate. Prior to joining the ILO more than six years ago, she worked as a consultant based in Washington, D.C. providing training, management and technical assistance in the areas of disability, diversity, fundraising, marketing, strategic planning and partnership development.
For many years, Ms. Perry worked for Goodwill Industries International in its Projects With Industry program engaging the business community in joint programs to train and employ people with disabilities in high-demand jobs.
Earlier in her career, she provided direct services to injured workers and disabled persons in a variety of settings.

Mr. Don Crosby

Vice President of International Human Resources, McDonald’s Corporation

Mr. Don Crosby

Graduated Bainbridge-Guilford High School 1970. Attended Broome Community College Served 4 years in United States Marine Corps

Began with McDonald’s as a Manager Trainee in Endicott, NY in 1975
Worked through the Store Management ranks and relocated to Albany in 1977 as Employee Relations Assistant. Promoted to Employee Relations Manager in Albany in 1978. In 1981promoted and relocated to Oak Brook as Personnel Consultant. In 1982 received the President’s Award. Promoted to Assistant Vice President in International HR in 1996. Promoted to Vice President in 1999. Promoted to Senior Vice President in 2007.

Current duties ? leads the development of International HR strategies and plans in support of the achievement of McDonald’s overall corporate strategies. Coordinates the development of these strategies with the International Relationship Partners and International Presidents.
Oversees the Home Office HR function and directs the provision of human resources consultative services and makes sure those human resource policies and philosophies are upheld and executed appropriately.
Oversees the Global HR Design Center. The GDC is the center of expertise for the design and delivery of core HR systems and restaurant based processes.
Ensures that strategic priorities for International and Home Office HR remain aligned with corporate policies and objectives. Serves as a member of the HR Leadership Council. Began serving as a board member of the Ronald McDonald House near Children’s Hospital in 1998 and is currently Vice President of the Ronald McDonald Children’s Charities Board of Chicago and Northwest Indiana.

Mr. Kazuto Ono

Senior General Manager, Human Relations Center, Canon Inc.

Mr. Kazuto Ono

Born on July 20, 1957, Kazuto Ono joined the Human Resources Department at Canon Inc. in 1980 and was based in Canon USA from July 1987 to April 1992. He became the Principal Manager of the Human Resources Department in May 1996 and the Vice President of the same in April 2003. While dealing with numerous personal work-related problems in his department, he felt that a more individual approach to employees’ problems was necessary.

In January 2004, Ono established the Human Relations Center. As the Director of the Human Resources Center, he runs the career counseling section and is in charge of implementing Canon’s mental health policy and dealing with employees’ individual problems.

With regard to implementing mental health policies in firms, Ono is working to achieve an ideal work environment for employees, based on the belief that cooperation among human resources, occupational health and safety, supervisors, and doctors is paramount to implementing mental health policies in a firm.
